Moving forward with design that starts with people, not pixels.
Courage and Conviction: Dr Mary Walker's War [WEBSITE]
This website was designed as a digital companion to a independent documentary about Dr. Mary Walker. The film explores her life story and her incredible legacy. The goal was to create an experience that feels as intentional and layered as the film itself: clean typography, a restrained color palette, and generous white space that lets the imagery and story take center stage rather than compete with decorative elements. Navigation was kept simple and linear, guiding visitors from the trailer through key moments of the narrative, mirroring the pacing of the documentary. Every design decision — from the choice of typeface to the placement of the trailer above the fold — was made to honor the subject matter while giving visitors an intuitive, immersive way to engage with the film and a call to action to support its funding.
Courage and Conviction: Dr Mary Walker's War [SOCIAL STORY]
This 8-page social media story, designed in Adobe Express, was created to introduce potential funders to Dr. Mary Walker's personal story and build momentum toward supporting the documentary. Each page was designed to build on her story with consistent branding, and a narrative arc that unfolds swipe by swipe, drawing viewers into her life and giving them a reason to feel emotionally invested before asking them to give. The pacing was intentional: opening pages hook attention and introduce who Mary Walker is, while the last few pages move into a clear, direct call to action to donate. The goal was to translate enormity of her legacy and urgency of her story into a format built for how people actually consume social media content.
